Feed Your Soul

cocoa

Isn't it so hard some days? It's necessary to avoid the ruts that life's bumps give us so we can keep on moving, keep on creating, keep on enjoying this wonderful thing we do every day, this gift. So before you read my list, ask yourself, "What nourishes my soul?" Write it down and take care of it. Go to it when you need it. And most importantly enjoy your list regularly.

For me, this is making me smile... old trains, tree forts, treasure hunts, forest stream walking, summer dresses...au revoir simone

-Bill Murray is staying at the hotel my husband works at. He has never ever asked any of the dozens of celebrities who work there for an autograph but he's promised to get one of our favorite of Mr. Murray's movies signed if he runs into him. I know it's a little shallow to LOVE this, but I am a huge fan of his work!

Focus

blueberries

Turns out my year for this year is "focus" and as I begin to do that I cant believe the results I'm getting. I should have focused less on the sweets at bunko tonight and perhaps my body wouldnt be so focused on the headache and tummy ache its going through now... man I am old.

My sewing machine is down and I have wonderful things I'd like to work on. Craftiness will come as soon as I can get it fixed.

Listening to Beirut radio on pandora, eating peppermint butter cream filled peppermint bits from sunflower, toes are freezing (where ARE my slippers?!) house is trashed, tomorrow isn't wednesday though :)

One Word?

do-over

Do you ever kind of wake up... not necessarily from sleep but from the humdrum or the monotony or the chaos and think "WAIT! This is my life?! I want a DO-OVER!" haha! I seriously look back at my late 20's and wonder what the heck I was doing? What was I thinking?!

But this year I think I am being given the opportunity for a little bit of a do-over of sorts. Fresh ideas, new people in my life (and the supportive old dear friends,) and opportunity. I'm going to go up to bat, catch that pass, slam that ball, jump that fence, dodge that ball... you get the picture. I don't know if "do-over" is my word for the year, but it sure feels like it. What's your one little word.
